Before you adopt
The questions that come up at the adoption desk, answered in order of how often we hear them.
Which batteries do the pets take?
It varies by pet and is printed on the box and in the booklet. The talking birds take 2 AAA and include them. Most plush pets ship with batteries fitted, and replacement needs a small cross-head screwdriver.
Can the plush pets be washed?
No machine washing: there are electronics inside. Wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry.
What is TRY ME mode?
A demo setting used in store packaging. Move the switch under the pet to ON to hear the full set of sounds and reactions.
Do I choose the style in assorted packs?
No. NeeDees, Mama’s House singles and My Puppy’s Home puppies are assorted, and finding out which one you got is part of the play.
How do I reset a Mama Surprise?
Return the babies to their compartment, close the hutch or basket and start the care steps again. Our care note on Mama Surprise goes through each version.
Is there a certificate with every pet?
With most. My Baby pets, My Really Real Puppy and My Puppy’s Home include adoption certificates; Mama Surprise Minis include a birth certificate.
Where is my order?
On the order page of your account at the partner store. They ship, track and handle returns.
