How Mama Surprise works, and how to reset it

The big hutches

With the guinea pig and the bunny, Mama herself is the interactive part. Brush her, feed her and pat her until her heart lights up. That is the signal to put her in the hutch. The babies are loaded in a compartment behind the door and drop into view one at a time, with a wait between each.

The basket

Mama Surprise Kittens swaps the hutch for a carry basket. Feed Mama with the fish, pet her until she is ready, place her in the basket and open it to find a kitten. Repeat for all three.

The Minis

The mini hutches are mechanical. Lay the straw, fill the water bottle on the side and wait. As the bottle empties, the door releases and two, three or four babies are there. No batteries are involved.

Playing it again

Every Mama Surprise set is built for repeat play. Put the babies back in their compartment, close the hutch and start the care routine over. Children often take turns being the one who hides and the one who finds.
